Cuban: White House had same problem

DALLAS -- The NBA is investigating a security breach at American Airlines Center that allowed two female fans to walk into the Portland Trail Blazers' huddle during Saturday's game, The Oregonian reports.

According to the newspaper, two fans walked onto the court and into the Blazers' team huddle with 41 seconds remaining in Portland's win over the Dallas Mavericks. One of the women reportedly wrapped her arms around Portland guard Rudy Fernandez from behind before they were ushered away.

A league spokesperson said the league is investigating the incident.

"We're looking into exactly what happened," NBA vice president of basketball communications Tim Frank wrote in an e-mail to the newspaper.

The Oregonian reported that the women, whom Portland guard Jerryd Bayless said appeared to be "drunk," were allowed to return to their seats.

How did security miss two fans walking onto the court and into a team huddle?

"The same way someone snuck into a White House function," Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said in an e-mail to the newspaper. "Someone made a mistake. It happens in every arena."
